Ed Kilgore starts his guest-blogging at TalkingPointsMemo with an amusing and insightful line that Bush's political habitus is, at bottom, a political form of "the Redneck Theory of Seduction", e.g. make a crazy huge demand, and then repeat the demand so endlessly that eventually you at least get some of what you want.
