For the first minute of this clip, which suddenly came on during a break in the Laker game last night, I thought I had lost my mind:

  1. Pump you full of fear for 1:50 and then plug the product for the last :10. Ingenious, if not manipulative and unscrupulous, marketing when you get right down to brass tasks.

  3. I went from thinking that it was an Army ad, to maybe something from a nonproliferation NGO. I was astonished to see that it was video-game marketing. Explains the Lakers link.

    I wonder how much those two were paid; and if they feel a little guilty about selling their "expertise" to game markerters.
