DLC at it again

The DLC types are at it again, arguing that only by giving up social liberalism can the Democrats regain majority party status. Michael Totten disagrees, and I am with him on this one: "Social liberalism is the best thing the Democratic Party has going for it. They should keep that and drop the pacifism and isolationism instead. They’ll get a lot more votes next time around if they do. Plenty of socially liberal people voted for George W. Bush on national security grounds."

Just to be clear: giving up on isolationism and pacificism should not mean that one has to say the war in Iraq was a good idea.
